Leaves São Joaquim terminal in Salvador every hour, 5 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. (from 6 a.m. on Sundays and holidays). The crossing takes 60 to 80 minutes and the line can run over 2 hours, so check the operator's live line tracker (Filômetro) before you head out.

From Salvador via Morro de São Paulo
Faster and more scenic. Catamaran to Morro, 4x4 across the island, short boat hop to Boipeba.

Biotur at 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. (R$172.51 with fees) and Ilha Bela at 10:30 a.m. (R$152.51). About 2 hr 30 min on open sea, and it can get rough.

Pickup-truck ride across Tinharé Island to the crossing point, about an hour. Times depend on the agency, so book ahead. Morro charges its tourism fee (TUPA) on arrival, currently R$70.

Air taxi from Salvador
Regular flights to Boipeba have been suspended since June 2026. The only option today is a private charter, around R$14,000 per leg plus the airstrip fee.
